Flying with Angels & the Padgett Story Begins - PCDU S02E13
Steve's back in the studio after his heart attack and subsequent surgery. As you'd expect, it was a major experience for him and he's very appreciative of the support he's received from our audience. He's now a member of the zipper club, has been cleared to drive cars again, and is working towards his Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) medical so he can drive trains once again. You can read more about Steve's unexpected journey on his Proceed Aspect site (proceedaspect.substack.com/), but for now, he's back and we're producing episodes once again. This one unfolds with:
We catch up with Marjorie Pagani, CEO of Angel Flight (angelflight.org.au/), who gives us a quick histo...

Reaching Skyward for more Women in Aviation & Drone Racing - PCDU S2E9
Просмотров 169 месяцев назад
They say that if you can’t see it, you can’t be it and that certainly seems to be the case with getting more women into aviation. The recently released @touchthesky-doco seeks to help encourage more women to consider flying for fun and/or employment, particularly looking at the “soft” (aka “human”) issues that are part of the answer to the question: “Why are there so few female pilots?” We also...
Traffic Sighted with the "Eye in the Sky" at Coffs Harbour - PCDU S2E8
Просмотров 8411 месяцев назад
There are plenty of beaches in Australia and many cities have an “Eye in the Sky” traffic reporter giving commuters updates on where the bottlenecks are, but what if you could provide traffic reports plus beach reports, all while logging hours? Our voice-over guy, Terry Daniel, steps out of the recording booth and into the studio to chat with Steve & Grant about doing just that in the skies ove...

A big change is the focus on long range strike and missiles for RAAF, ...
Extended Ranges for missiles & for digital control towers - PCDU S2E5
Просмотров 2611 месяцев назад
With the recent release of the Defence Strategic Review by the Australian Federal Government, a major focus has been put on long range missiles for use by Army, Navy and Air Force to deter a potential adversary from approaching our island continent and/or blockading our ocean supply routes. With this in mind, we release an interview recorded at Avalon 2023 with John Fry, general manager of Kong...

The Australian International Airshow in 2023 (aka Avalon 2023) saw not only huge crowds and amazing displays in the air, but also the end of an era as Peter Meehan performed his last show as “The Voice of Avalon,” handing over the reins to Tony Moclair. It also saw Grant join Angela Stevenson as part of the commentary team for the show. We chat with Peter Meehan about his experience with Avalon...
Owen Zupp on Resilience & Qantas' last 747-400 - PCDU S2E2

We recently caught up with our friend Owen Zupp to talk with him about the many ups and downs he's experienced in his career and, most importantly, his current grounding for medical reasons (starts at 1:20 into the episode). We touch on the importance of resilience and how many of the traits that make a good pilot can also help a person get through adversity. In the second half of the show, we ...

It seems only fitting that our...

Nice work guys... It's so good to have your voices back in my head!
Thanks Damo, it's good to have you in the audience once again. I hope the latest episodes have been enjoyable too :)
Nice shiny boots! I like them boots. But I like the fact that the gang will be coming back!
Thanks mate, hopefully our new series of episodes are doing the trick for you :)
Fantastic 🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🍻
We're very happy to be back, too :)
Fuckk
Glad i watched till the end, most indepth cockpit breakdown i've ever seen on one of these. 👍
Thanks for enjoying the video. We learned a lot hanging out with this crew. PS: Sorry for not responding way back - we're trying to restart of video work :)
Both parties know their shit!! Thank you for this video
They sure did, and they were willing to talk about a lot of the onboard systems. Sorry for taking so long to reply.
Why are private jet interior styles always stuck in the 90s?
Perhaps they're going for function and a business approach?
Warum haben sowohl Airbus als auch Boeing immer noch Steinzeit-Cockpits?? Die sollten von Dassault und Gulfstream lernen! Why do both Airbus and Boeing still have Stone Age cockpits? They should learn from Dassault and Gulfstream!!
The Gulfstream G650 cockpit is certainly amazing!
A very important question: is this aircraft able to be disengaged from the auto pilot for manual control?
As much as any Airbus allows you to fly it manually. (Sorry for the very delayed reply)
We are able to learn so much more after 11 years of passing time. My original question was aimed at the in built (deliberate) inability for the Pilot and second officer, who are supposedly in control of the aircraft they are supposedly in charge of, to actually have full control the aircraft when those 'not planned for' circumstances, that no amount of computer programming is able to predict, arise. As many of those 'unplanned for circumstances' have arisen over the past 11 years, and I am sure you will find many such incidents if you choose to seek them out - my question to you would be - Are you aware of what is now going on at Boeing Aircraft and the killing off of the Boeing whistleblowers? . .
Yes, we've been following the Boeing saga for some time now and it's very sad but not unsurprising given where the company's been going over the past 20-30 years. As to the two whistleblowers who have recently died: certainly suspicious but insufficient evidence to support saying they were killed off.
Stay tuned - in due course, the evidence for their murder will soon become available. made pubic@@planecrazydownunder
Nice plane to fly.. I flew with air new Zealand from akl to Perth in 2014 the flight was magic very quiet engine didn't feel tired at all lighting was a treat and adjustable blind by a touch of a button no bad comment at all best plane to fly anywhere in the world.
Very informative vid, especially how additional fuel tanks are displayed on the same screen.
I remember when the MH60R first came out the RCU in the back used to be able to launch the Hellfire. It was part of our R&C to verify it.
hellfire missiles?
Airborne Low Frequency Sonar aka ALFS
We love to charter our Airbus319CJ. Thank you Airbus!!!
Has the DVD Come out yet im still waiting to see my Footage in the Video
c'mon guys - can you put up a program or some idea of when things are on please? There is nothing on the web site
AWESOME!!
Nice helicopter!
und mit som Ding werden die Manager von Volkswagen immer am Wochenende nach Hause zur Family geflogen..?
That Middle Eastern customer for a A380 corporate jet would be Prince Al Waleed of Saudi Arabia who reportedly paid $400-500m for it.
This is nothing! I have a business jet way better than this one. Of course it's imaginary though
I have a gold plated jet... in gta5.
An Airbus like that would cost 50-60 Million US Dollars. If I ever get rich enough I MAY just fly this...
@Brisdad53 new.. 80-90 mm usd - interior 10-30 mm... old 30-60 mm
Excellent video. Enjoyed the footage and superb reporting of these massive aircrafts.
Rowt???
How much does that Airbus even cost?
it's depends decorations and etc...but the plane cost about 50mil.$
Is it weird to say I think it looks quite graceful in flight?
Awesome
Thanks for heads up, didn't realise airshow was coming up.
nightwishturunen The show is on Sunday 9 March 2014

Dear Santa.....
Well, after the Emirates !st Class from Australia to Dubai, then on to London/Dusseldorf several times, this must be the next step.. All I need is for Emirates to show me how to do it, with less than my six office crew.
Nice work if you can get it, Damo!

Max Flight from The Airplane Geeks Podcast, often describes Anthony as "his favourite Australian". In a recent video shoot for another PCDU project, Anthony decided - in his own unique style - to return the compliment. [SV]

The joys of co-hosting our aviation show: I get to meet lots of cool people & surrounding myself with aviation whenever possible :) :)
We recorded a number of interviews on the Sunday - several were video segments. We are working on getting them released as quickly as possible. Can you recall where you saw us? [Steve]
